LIFE HACK: OPTIMIZING RESOURCES TOWARDS A BETTER LIFE

LIFE HACK IS A TRICK OR NOVELTY METHOD TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY & EFFICIENCY IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE. ULTIMATELY, WE ALL CRAVE TO GET HAPPINESS & TO RADIATE HOPE FOR OTHERS AROUND! IT STARTS FROM SELF.

"One must deliver himself with the help of his mind, and not degrade himself. The mind is the friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy as well."
-Bhagavad Gita 6.5

QUESTION: HOW TO BRING REAL HAPPINESS IN LIFE UTILIZING AVAILABLE RESOURCES?

Of the many scriptures that enable us to realize our potential, the Bhagavad Gita is one of them. In that, every message has got the potency to transform the true seeker. The ultimate objective of every human is to lead a meaningful life. Staying connected with the core promises everything we crave for without any iota of doubt.

A branch soon dries up when cut out and separated from the tree. It loses its charm & beauty and shadow giving capability. No longer does it show its healthy and greenery when detached. This principle works for all of us equally. Because the attachment with the Creator is virtual, we often undermine it and deride it. But it is there whether we accept it or not. Our happiness, fulfillment and progress lies with the virtual link. It is everywhere.

Our level of disappointment goes up as soon we get dissociated from our creator and when we start identifying ourselves as an individual; isolated and separated, overpowered by false ego. The objective is to lead a purposeful and meaningful life.

When there is no connection, there is no intelligence. Without intelligence, there is no endurance & there is no possibility of having peace without endurance. How can we expect happiness without peace?

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has given us the principles and guidelines to achieve our objective of life!

The intent of this article is to develop the attitude to re-establish the connection and get access to the reservoir of happiness which is going missing in our civilized society.

This is an excerpt from the Bhagavad Gita in the form of  "LIFE-HACK". The acronym HACK  stands for Happiness, Awareness, Connection & Knowledge which are the key words picked up from Bhagavad Gita for the benefits of the readers.

HAPPINESS:  THE DRIVER

Ultimately what do we want to achieve? What is it we crave for? It is Happiness. But are we craving for true happiness? We may be keen in performing certain actions, indulging in certain activities thinking that will make us happy, but are we aware about the true meaning of happiness? True happiness can only emanate from a peaceful mind without being dependent on external source and it stays calm & blissful deep within. It is an unconditional and assured state.

HAPPINESS TIPS:

- Stay Connected. Happiness starts with peace and it is possible only when we are connected.

- Seek Clarity. Ambiguity leads to uncertainty and undue expectation.
- Set expectation right & keep the reference to I, Me and Mine low.
- Ask high Value question to self, like Who Am I and what is the Purpose of Life?

AWARENESS: THE CATALYST

Awareness is the perception of a situation or reality. The ability to directly know & perceive, to feel, to be cognizant. It is related to the vision you are seeing. With the higher vision, we see all realities not as discrete or discordant set of perspective, but as coherent and concordant subsets of vision. Being aware of eternity with infinite journey with objectivity. Awareness of Self, Around and The Source.

AWARENESS TIPS:

- Know your internal team reporting structure. Body (Senses), Mind (Intellect), You (The Soul).
- Set priorities right. Be aware of your Soul (your friend) & align your Mind and Intellect with it.
Stay focused. Be aware and conscious of your priorities & act accordingly.
- Beware! Be aware of your distractions (your enemy) and avoid them.

CONNECTION: THE FORCE BEHIND STRENGTH

The Sanskrit Word YOGA has roots in the word YUG (association). When we talk about connection, the first question that comes is connect what with what? The purpose of connection is to connect our own self with the source, our individual energy with the cosmic energy, our individual objective with supreme objective in totality.

CONNECTION TIPS:

- Put conscious effort in developing connection with Self, Surrounding & Supreme.
- Stay associated with people who are deeply connected with their own soul.
- Develop deep relationship with an ideal and observe their actions and behaviors.
- Develop a regular spiritual practice to always stay connected.

KNOWLEDGE: THE WEAPON

Knowledge is the light that drives away darkness from our life, empowers us and gives us a vision, without which seeing reality is impossible. However the transcendental knowledge is the one which uncover the unreal and allow us to discover the truth behind. It enables connecting the dots to lead a purposeful and meaningful life. It gives us courage to be modest and stay equipoise to both pleasure and pain.

KNOWLEDGE TIPS:

            - Empower your Vision. Read Scriptures and other great books.
            - Listen to authorities who have command over their subject.
            - Be open to others’ perspectives to enhance your learning.
            - Put into practice what you learn by demonstrating through behavior.
